Troubleshooting Help
Most problems encountered with program errors are caused
by memory shortages. To insure that you have enough memory
you may check the programs memory utilization by pressing
and holding both shift keys for five seconds. A general
purpose break box will appear indicating the maximum
amount of memory utilized by the program up to that point.
All errors encountered by the program are recorded in
a file called ERRORS.LOG created in the default directory.
You may edit this file to evaluate the errors and their
sequence to aid in diagnostics. Do not delete this file
as Micro Alpha diagnostic technicians will need this file
in order to provide adequate customer technical support.

Update Forms
These forms are screens in which you enter data into
your application's files. They must be completely filled
out and accepted before the record will be written.
You can move between fields on the form by using the
arrow keys (

select a field using the mouse by clicking on the field.
Some fields are required fields and will not allow you
to continue until you have entered data into the field.
Other fields require an input that matches data in an
existing file. These will display a pick list of all valid
choices if the field is left blank or a non-match is
entered and accepted. Note that pressing F4 on this type
of field will display the pick list.
Pressing the grey asterisk key (*) will add the current
record, duplicate all of its data and place you into add
a record mode. This is known as the dupe a record key.

!!Critical Warning!!
When setting up to run Cat-Stat there exists the
possibility of over writing your Catdisk files with the
visitor's! This might be a catastrophic loss if you didn't
have your CATDISK.DTA file backed up somewhere.
Special care should be taken to rename the visitor's
CATDISK.DTA file before copying it to the hard drive. We
recommend using the visitor's name (ie. BOB.DTA) in order
to distinguish them at a later date and to prevent you
from overwriting your CATDISK.DTA file.
